LyondellBasell faces production issues at Wesseling cracker

According to market sources, LyondellBasell is having problems with production at one of its crackers in Wesseling, Germany following the flaring which resulted from an operational issue on February 13.
One of the crackers has reportedly been running at low rates as of February 27.
The company’s two crackers at the site have production capacities of 735,000 tons/year and 305,000 tons/year of ethylene respectively.
