LyondellBasell to lift force majeure on PE output from Texas

According to media sources, LyondellBasell is planning to lift force majeure on PE output from its four facilities located in Texas on November 1. The company declared force majeure on its PE output from its Texas units following Hurricane Harvey’s landfall across the Gulf Coast in August.
LyondellBasell is able to produce 198,500 tons/year of HDPE at Chocolate Bayou, 766,000 tons/year of HDPE at Matagorda, 220,000 tons/year of HDPE at Victoria while La Porte facility has a production capacity of 391,000 tons/year of LLDPE and 611,000 tons/year of LDPE.
