LyondellBasell to start up PE plant in Texas as scheduled

According to market sources, LyondellBasell’s plans to start up its new HDPE plant in La Porte, Texas remain underway for the middle of 2019.
The new plant will have a production capacity of 500,000 tons/year after the construction work started in 2017. The construction was not affected by the devastative Hurricane Harvey.
The new plant will use the company’s patented Hyperzone PE technology, which enables the production of a broad spectrum of HDPE products in one single plant.
