MEGlobal announces January MEG contract to Asia

According to market sources, MEGlobal announced its January MEG contract to Asia at $900/ton CFR Asia, down by $50/ton from its December nomination.
The lower nomination was attributed to the bearish market sentiment created by volatile feedstock prices as well as ample supply and weak polyester demand.
Meanwhile, spot MEG prices in Asia were last reported at around $700/ton CFR China, down by $90/ton from a month earlier.
