Malaysia extends lockdown measures in most states

Malaysian government has decided to extend the Movement Contol Order (MCO), which has been in place since January 13, in all states except Sarawak for another 9 days due to a recent surge in daily COVID-19 cases, media sources revealed.
The MCO has been extended until February 4 starting from January 27.
According to Malaysia’s Ministry of Health (MoH), the country registered 3,170 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the number of total infections to 172,549.
