Malaysia keeps interest rates steady

According to media reports, Malaysia’s central bank, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), kept its interest rate steady at 3% as the current monetary policy proved to support the economy.

Reports also revealed that the headline inflation is slated to relieve in the second half of 2017 in line with the decrease of global cost factors while the underlying inflation is also expected to be maintained due to the growing domestic demand.

The country’s economy is estimated to post further growth in 2017, the reports also revealed.
