Malaysia’s Petrochemicals (M)Sdn Bhd to restart HIPS unit

According to sources close to the company, Malaysia’s Petrochemicals (M)Sdn Bhd is planning to restart its HIPS unit in Johor, Malaysia on December 9, 2017.
The company shut its 110,000 tons/year HIPS unit for a planned turnaround on October 27.
Meanwhile, the company’s 240,000 tons/year styrene unit was also shut down for maintenance on December 1, 2017 and will remain offline until January 15, 2018.
