According to media reports, Malaysia’s state oil company Petroliam Nasional Behard (Petronas) is planning to delay the start up of its Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project in Johor, Malaysia to the middle of 2019. The project was previously set to start up by early 2019.

So far, the project reportedly has seen two delays due to some issues involved in relocating people living near the planned site.

The RAPID complex will house a 300,000 barrels/day refinery and a petrochemical complex which will have a total production capacity of 7.7 million tons/year.
