Malaysia terminates ADD on PET imports from Thailand

According to media sources, Malaysia will no longer impose anti-dumping duty on the imports of PET originating in or exported from Thailand.

After a petition filed by Malaysian PET resin maker MPI Polyester Industries, the Government conducted an administrative review investigation regarding the duties levied on imports of PET from Thailand on April 20 and has decided to terminate the anti-dumping duty based on the findings, according to a statement by The International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI).

On its official website, MTI stated that the Government believes this decision would not cause dumping cases to repeat or harm the domestic market.
