Malaysian producer announces local PE prices for April

Distributors in Malaysia reported that a local producer has announced its April PE prices to the domestic market as of today. According to distributors, the producer’s new offers indicate decreases of MYR4.40/ton for HDPE film, MYR230/ton for LDPE film and MYR154/ton for LLDPE C4 film when compared to March levels. Based on the exchange rate at 4.40/USD, the producer’s HDPE film posted decreases of $1/ton, by $52/ton for LDPE film and $35/ton for LLDPE C4 film on dollar terms.
The producer’s new PE prices stand at MYR5627.6/ton ($1274/ton) for HDPE film, at MYR6150/ton ($1392/ton) for LDPE film and at MYR5948.8/ton ($1346/ton) for LLDPE C4 film, all on an FD Malaysia, cash basis.
