According to market sources, Mexico’s Etileno XXI project, a joint venture between Brazil’s Braskem and Mexico’s Grupo Idesa, has been delayed and will start production in June. The project had previously been slated to start production in February, with planned PE production beginning by March.

Located in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, the project will have production capacities of 1 million tons/year of ethylene, 750,000 tons/year of HDPE and 300,000 tons/year of LDPE.
