Nigeria’s ELEME declares PP and PE force majeure
by ChemOrbis Editorial Team - content@chemorbis.com
According to players operating in Nigeria, the country’s local PP and PE producer ELEME declared a force majeure on their PP and PE production on the back of a technical glitch. The producer had to halt their operations given an unexpected power failure and it is expected to take around two weeks for ELEME to resume operations.
A trader also commented that ELEME already had low stocks and that the producer therefore halted their deliveries altogether following their force majeure announcement. “The producer has stopped taking any orders from customers,” added the trader.
