Nova Chemicals announces new investment projects

According to a press release, Canada-based Nova Chemicals is planning to expand its production capacity at its site in Ontario, Canada with an investment of CDN$2 billion ($1.5 billion).
Within the scope of the project, the company will increase its ethylene production at its 816,466 tons/year Corunna cracker by approximately 50%. The cracker is expected to provide ethylene to its new 450,000 tons/year PE unit.
The company has already begun preparations for both of its projects, which are set to come online as of late 2019.
