October PP, PE offers surface higher in Tunisia, Morocco

Players in Tunisia and Morocco reported receiving new October offers with increases for the second consecutive month. The firming trend was attributed to hiking offers in global markets and stronger costs. Trading activity, meanwhile, remained stagnant across the region.

In Morocco, October PE offers were reported with €10-20/ton ($10-21/ton) increases when compared to September levels while PP offers were firmer by €50/ton ($52/ton). The overall range was reported at €980-990/ton ($1034-1045/ton) for LDPE, €950-960/ton ($1003-1013/ton) for LLDPE, €960-970/ton ($1013-1023/ton) for HDPE film, €1000-1010/ton ($1055-1066/ton) for HDPE b/m and inj., on a CIF Casablanca, cash basis.

In Tunisia, October PE offers surfaced with €20-30/ton ($21-31/ton) increases while PP offers were higher by €50/ton ($52/ton) when compared to September levels at €1030-1050/ton ($1087-1108/ton) for LDPE, €970-980/ton ($1023-1034/ton) for LLDPE, €940-960/ton ($992-1013/ton) for HDPE film, €990-1000/ton ($1045-1055/ton) for HDPE b/m and inj., €1110-1120/ton ($1171-1182/ton) for PPBC, €1140-1150/ton ($1203-1213/ton) for PPRC, €1000-1010/ton ($1055-1066/ton) for PPH raffia and inj., €1030-1040/ton ($1087-1097/ton) for PPH film and fibre., on a CFR Tunisia, 90 days basis.

Algerian players are still waiting to receive the new announcements, expecting prices to follow suit.
