PE local prices surge in Indonesian producer’s latest revisions
In the previous week, the producer raised both PP and PE prices by about half a per cent to one per cent.
For the latest week, the producer hiked LLDPE prices by IDR960,000-970,000/ton ($62-63/ton) to IDR21,150,000/ton ($1332/ton) for film, and to IDR21,740,000/ton ($1369/ton) for injection, both FD Indonesia, cash. The price of HDPE film was raised by IDR790,000/ton ($51/ton) to IDR20,780,000/ton ($1308/ton), on the same basis.
The last three weeks have seen both the LLDPE grades wresting back their premiums to the HD film grade, with the delta rising to IDR960,000/ton ($61/ton) for LL film and to IDR370,000/ton ($24/ton) for LL inj.
Meanwhile, PP local prices saw an IDR170,000-180,000/ton ($11-12/ton) increase across the board. Homopolymer prices rose to IDR20,930,000/ton for raffia and inj., IDR21,800,000/ton ($1373/ton) for film and IDR22,050,000/ton for the biaxially-oriented film grade, all FD Indonesia, cash. The copolymer injection grades were hiked to IDR21,080,000/ton ($1327/ton) for PPBC and to IDR22.310,000/ton ($1405/ton) for PPRC, on the same basis.
