PP, PE offers to UAE continue to rise for March, local PP producer defies imports

In the United Arab Emirates, players received new March offers from regional suppliers with increases. The increases came in line with the firming trend in nearby markets. Meanwhile, trading activity is performing steadily.
The overall range for March is currently standing at $1290-1400/ton for LDPE, $1170-1210/ton for LLDPE, $1140-1160/ton for HDPE film, $1170-1190/ton for HDPE b/m and inj., $1240-1260/ton for PPBC, $1130-1170/ton for PPH raffia and inj., $1170-1200/ton for PPH film and fibre, all on a CIF Dubai, 90 days basis.
Meanwhile, offers from the country’s local PP producer, Borouge, were largely unchanged from their February levels. According to local sources, the producer has been attempting to raise their offers amid tight availability. However, discounts are achievable for firm bids. The latest offers are currently standing at $1200-1220/ton for PPBC, $1160-1180/ton for PPH, on a FD Dubai, cash basis.
