PP, PE prices in Tunisia and Morocco turn down in April
In Morocco, PE prices were down by €30-50/ton ($32-54/ton) and PP by €50/ton ($54/ton) to €980-1000/ton ($1059-1081/ton) for LDPE, €960-970/ton ($1038-1048/ton) for LLDPE, €970-990/ton ($1048-1070/ton) for HDPE film, €1000-1010/ton ($1081-1092/ton) for HDPE b/m and inj., €1070-1080/ton ($1157-1167/ton) for PPBC, €1110-1120/ton ($1200-1211/ton) for PPRC, €960-970/ton ($1038-1048/ton) for PPH raffia and inj., €1000-1010/ton ($1081-1092/ton) for PPH film and fibre., on a CIF Casablanca, cash basis.
In Tunisia, PE offers were steady to €20/ton ($22/ton) softer and PP down by €30/ton ($32/ton) at €1060-1080/ton ($1146-1167/ton) for LDPE, €990-1010/ton ($1070-1092/ton) for LLDPE and HDPE film, €1000-1020/ton ($1081-1103/ton) for HDPE b/m and inj., €1090-1100/ton ($1178-1189/ton) for PPBC, €1120-1130/ton ($1211-1221/ton) for PPRC, €1000-1020/ton ($1081-1103/ton) for PPH raffia and inj., €1010-1020/ton ($1092-1103/ton) for PPH film and fibre., on a CFR Tunisia, 90 days basis.
According to local sources, supply has slightly improved in the region while trading activity remains below average rates.
Players in Algeria are still waiting to receive the new offers, expecting prices to follow suit.
