According to an official press release, Indonesia’s state-owned company PT Pertamina has chosen Oman’s Overseas Oil & Gas (OOG) as a partner to work on the construction of a new refinery and a petrochemical complex in Bontang, Indonesia.

As part of the framework agreement signed between the two companies, a feasibility study is expected to be conducted for the $10 billion project.

Pertamina plans to reach a final investment decision on the 300,000 barrel/day refinery in mid-2020, and the project is expected to be operational in 2025, according to some sources.
