According to media reports, Saudi Arabia’s PetroRabigh, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical, is expected to resume most operations at its refining and petrochemical units this week following a 50-day shutdown. The company had halted production at the units on October 11 for a planned maintenance.

However, the company will not restart its high olefin cracker and related units as it is planning to conduct further maintenance at these units, which is expected to last until the end of December.

PetroRabigh is able to produce 300,000 tons/year of HDPE, 600,000 tons year of LLDPE and 700,000 tons/year of PP.
