Petrofac and SOCAR set up joint venture

According to a press release on the company’s website, London-based oilfield services provider Petrofac and Azerbaijan’s state-owned SOCAR have set up a joint venture to create training opportunities in the country’s oil, gas and petrochemicals industries.
As part of the agreement, SOCAR’s share in the joint venture has been determined at 51% while Petrofac’s at 49%.
Accordingly, the two companies are expected to provide modern training and educational services to Azerbaijan’s industrial workforce.
