Petronas’s subsidiary awards contract for olefin storage facilities
According to this contract, the consortium will construct four butadiene tanks with a storage capacity of 1750 tons/year each, four propylene tanks with a capacity of 2,500 tons/year each and a 12,000 tons/year ethylene tank. The construction of the butadiene tanks is planned to be finalized by the end of next year while the propylene and ethylene tanks are expected to be operational by the end of the first and third quarters of 2019, respectively.
PIC, which is worth more than 27 billion-dollar, is Petronas’s biggest downstream investment.
