Poland’s PKN Orlen declares FM on PTA from Plock

According to a source close to the company, Poland’s PKN Orlen SA declared a force majeure on PTA output from its facility in Plock, Poland on October 24 due to a technical malfunction in one of the heat exchangers.
The company will reduce its PTA deliveries for 16 days due to the force majeure and is expected to restart its plant on November 8.
The plant has name plate capacity of 600,000 tons year.
