by ChemOrbis Editorial Team - content@chemorbis.com
According to market sources, Synthos’ Kralupy styrene unit in the Czech Republic started to have production problems last week. Although the company reported that it has no problems in covering its styrene needs, some small problems still remain this week, sources argued.
The plant will reportedly not be shut as it will be hard to restart it due to cold weather.
The plant has a production capacity of 170,000 tons/year of styrene.
