Property rise in some Chinese cities in November

According to media reports, China’s 33 of the 70 medium to large cities witnessed higher month over month property prices in November, up from 27 in the prior month. Reuter’s calculations based on data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) revealed that housing prices rose 0.9% on the year in November, up from a gain of 0.1% in October. On a monthly basis, meanwhile, home prices climbed 0.3% in November after increasing 0.2% in the previous month.

Major cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen all witnessed higher home price in November. Home prices in Beijing and Shanghai’s increased 7.7% and 13.1%, respectively in November compared with the same month of 2014. The largest increase in new home prices was reported in Shenzhen, where prices surged 44.6% from a year earlier.
