According to a press release on Russia’s Lukoil’s website, the company and SNF FLOERGER broke ground for a new petrochemical facility for producing polymers from ACN. The new polymer plant is being built close to Lukoil’s petrochemical facility, which will enable the company to reduce costs of transportationn of feedstock and end products as well facilitate import substitution of considerable volumes of chemicals.

According to a statement, Russia’s only ACN producer OOO Saratovorgsintez, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL, will supply feedstock to the planned facility of SNF Vostok for polymer production.
