Russia’s Lukoil launches 2nd Catalytic Cracking Complex

According to a press release on the company’s website, Russia’s leading oil company Lukoil commissioned its second catalytic cracking complex (CCC-2) on October 6 at the LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in Kstovo. The company had started construction of the CCC-2 in 2010 following the launch of the first Catalytic Cracking Complex. The investment value of the projects was reported at $1 billion.

Via the commissioning of CCC-2, the company’s propylene production will increase up to 300,000 tons/year.
