Russia’s Sayanskkhimplast shuts PVC plant

According to a source close to the company, Russia’s Sayanskkhimplast shut its PVC plant on March 4 due to feedstocks issue. The plant has been unable to source ethylene from at Rosneft’s Angarsk polymer plant due to a problem at Angarsk’s compressor. Sayanskkhimplast’s PVC plant has a production capacity of 300,000 ton/year.
