Russia’s Sibur eyes further cooperation with Sinopec

According to media reports, Russian petrochemical company Sibur has said that they are looking to increase their relationship with China’s Sinopec through the expansion of their existing businesses. Sinopec reportedly bought a 10% stake in Sibur in December.
Sinopec and SIBUR have also signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Accordingly, Sinopec targets to strategically expand their petrochemical business in overseas markets while Sibur aims to reinforce their expertise to maximize the efficiency of their new large-scale projects.
