According to media reports, Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak stated that OPEC is not expected to discuss cutting oil output at the Algeria meeting this month. He was also cited as saying that there was a proposal for an oil output freeze before the meeting but it is not on the agenda for now, the RIA news agency reported.
Meanwhile, other news agencies reported that Alexander Novak is expecting ‘constructive talks’ at the Algeria meeting and Russia is ready to coordinate with other producers for the oil market.
