S Korea’s LG Chem plans styrene shutdowns in 2017

According to market sources, South Korea’s LG Chem is planning to shut its No 1 and No 2 styrene
monomer plants at Yeosu for a planned maintenance.

The plants are expected to remain shut in March-April 2017 for about 3 weeks.

The No 1 and No 2 plants have a production capacity of 200,000 tons/year and 300,000 tons/year respectively.
