According to Kuwait’s foreign minister, Saudi Arabia and Qatar agreed to reopen airspace, land and sea borders as of January 4 2021 in line with a possible breakthrough deal towards ending three-and-a-half year long crisis in the Middle East.

In return, Qatar will reportedly drop legal cases launched against Saudi Arabia and its allies as a part of a proposed deal to be signed at a summit of the Gulf Co-operation Council on Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic and transport ties with Qatar back in June 2017, citing its alleged support to extremist Islamic groups.
