According to media reports, Saudi Arabia’s March oil exports hit their highest level in a decade. The country exported 7.898 million barrels of oil per day (bpd) in March compared with 7.962 million bpd in November 2005.

In April, meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s oil production posted another record, rising to 10.308 million bpd from 10.294 million bpd in March. Stronger global demand, especially from Asian markets, and the country’s determination not to lose market share to shale output in the US supported the world’s top oil exporter’s oil output, along with higher domestic consumption.
