According to media reports, Saudi Arabia’s Sadara, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical, will start up its new mixed-fed cracker in March. The new cracker will be fed with up to 85 million standard cubic feet of ethane and 50,000 barrels of naphtha per day.

The complex will house the world’s largest chemical complex ever built in a single phase with 26 integrated world-scale manufacturing plants. These plants are expected to produce more than 3 million tons per year of petrochemicals. The complex is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2017.
