Saudi major reveals July PE, PP prices to Tunisia

In Tunisia, a converter reported receiving July shipment PP and PE prices from a Saudi major.

According to the buyer, the producer’s new levels for PE and PP stand at €1210/ton for LDPE film, at €1160/ton for LLDPE film, at €1170/ton for HDPE film, at €1180/ton for HDPE pipe (PE100) and at €1050/ton for PP-homo raffia and injection, all on a CIF Tunisia, 90 days deferred basis.

The converter stated that the producer’s new prices represent rollovers when compared to their latest June levels. “We are just back to the market after the holidays therefore the market activity is slow. We intend to make some new purchases, however we are not planning to build big stocks. Higher offer levels emerged in the market and prices tracked a stable to slightly firmer trend this month due to the depreciation of the dinar,” he noted.
