Saudi major reveals Mar PE offers to Vietnam
According to traders, the major producer announced their offers for March at $1130-1140/ton for HDPE film, at $1100/ton for HDPE blow moulding and injection, at $1080-1090/ton for LLDPE film, and at $1180-1200/ton for LDPE film, all on CIF Vietnam, cash basis.
The recent offers indicated increases of $10-30/ton for HDPE film, and $40/ton for LDPE film, while HDPE blow molding and inj., and LLDPE film prices remained unchanged from last month. In the meantime, the producer is reportedly willing to accept bids at $1060-1070/ton for LLDPE, $1140-1150/ton for LDPE, $1100-1110/ton for HDPE film, and $1030/ton for HDPE blow molding, and injection.
“We think that the prices are about to reach the peak. It is quite hard to raise prices further due to weak demand. Buyers find it risky to replenish while the prices are that high,” commented a trader.
