Saudi major unveils March PP and PE offers to local market
PE prices were up by SAR112-150/ton ($30-40/ton) and PP by SAR37-112/ton ($10-30/ton) when compared to February levels at SAR4125/ton ($1099/ton) for LDPE, SAR3938/ton ($1050/ton) for LLDPE, SAR4050/ton ($1079/ton) for HDPE film, SAR4163/ton ($1110/ton) for HDPE b/m, SAR4050/ton ($1079/ton) for HDPE inj., SAR3616/ton ($964/ton) for PPBC, SAR3994/ton ($1064/ton) for PPRC, SAR3469/ton ($924/ton) for PPH raffia and inj., SAR3769/ton ($1004/ton) for PPH film and fibre., all on FD Jeddah, cash excluding VAT basis.
According to local sources, demand has slightly improved especially for PP grades as buyers secure their needs before Ramadan. However, it fluctuates daily, rising one day and receding the next.
