Saudi suppliers announce Jan PP, PE offers to Algeria
HDPE film prices increased by around $30-60/ton while LDPE film and LLDPE C4 film prices saw larger hikes of as much as $150/ton and $200/ton. PPH raffia and inj. offers jumped by around $190-220/ton while PPH film and fibre offers increased by around $210-230/ton over their previous levels.
Accordingly, the latest offers were at $1230/ton for HDPE film, $1200/ton for HDPE inj., $1250/ton for LLDPE C4 film, $1480/ton for LDPE film, $1350/ton for PPH raffia, $1380/ton for PPH inj., $1380-1400/ton for PPH film and $1410-1420/ton for PPH fibre, all on CFR Algeria, 90 days basis.
“Allocations are very tight. Demand is moving in a steady rhythm and most buyers are purchasing only their basic needs at the moment,” a trader based in Algiers said. The trader also said that they were trying to negotiate the offers down, adding that there was little-to-no room for large discounts.
