September PP, PE prices announced higher in Kenya
PP and PE prices were reported higher by $20-30/ton when compared to initial August levels at $1050-1060/ton for LDPE, $970-980/ton for LLDPE, $950-970/ton for HDPE film, $980-1000/ton for HDPE b/m and inj., $980-1000/ton for PPH raffia and inj., $1020-1040/ton for PPH film and fibre., $1060-1070/ton for PPBC, $1090-1100/ton for PPRC, all on a CFR Kenya, 90 days basis.
According to local sources, the market remains under pressure from the increasing exchange rates and high inflation costs. Hence, purchasing activity is still tied to basic only needs.
