Several producers cut their May PX contract prices to Asia

According to market sources, several producers reduced their May PX contract nominations to Asia. Japan’s JX Nippon Oil and Energy and South Korea’s S-Oil both lowered their May contracts by $60/ton to $950/ton CFR. Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan also cut its PX contract nomination to $950/ton, down $80/ton from its first announcement.

Meanwhile, ExxonMobil’s May contract nomination remains at $1020/ton CFR, up $160/ton from their April announcement while South Korea’s SK Global Chemical nominated their May contract with an increase of $50/ton at $950/ton CFR.
