Shell Chemicals announces initial May butadiene contract in US

According to market sources, Shell Chemicals announced an initial May butadiene contract in the US. The new contract has been announced at 73 cents/lb ($1609/ton), down 20 cents/lb ($441/ton) from April.
Nominations from other US producers, ExxonMobil, LyondellBasell and TPC Group, are yet to be revealed.
In the US, spot butadiene prices were last reported at around 80 cents/lb ($1763/ton) on FOB US Gulf Coast basis.
