Shell resumes ops at Pernis and Moerdjik

According to market sources, Shell is resuming production at its Pernis refinery and Moerdjik petrochemical complex in Netherlands after an industrial action which started in early December due to staff’s protest against Shell’s pay offer ended.
The unions CNV and FNV had started a slowdown strike last month in order to protest Shell’s payments, which later continued with the reduction in production last week, sources said. The strike reportedly came to an end after the company reached a collective labor agreement with the unions including more than half of the staff at the sites.
