Shell resumes production at Wesseling complex

According to a statement on the company’s website, Shell restarted its steam cracker and olefin units in Wesseling, Germany on December 19, following a flaring incident which resulted from a technical issue on December 13.
The company’s steam cracker is able to produce 260,000 tons/year of ethylene.
