Shell to shut its plants for turnaround in Pernis

According to a statement on the company’s website, Shell will have a maintenance shutdown at twelve of its plants, located in Pernis, the Netherlands during October and November. The company is also expected to carry out some inspections to improve the units.
Shell previously restarted most of its units at Pernis refinery in August, following an outage that stemmed from a fire on July 29.
Shell’s Pernis refinery is the biggest refinery in Europe, with around 60 facilities and an overall capacity of 404,000 b/d.
