According to data released by International Enterprise Singapore, the country’s non-oil exports edged down 0.2% on the year in May, posting the first decline in three months. In April, the country’s non-oil exports rose 2.2%. Singapore’s May export figures missed economists’ estimates, which called for a 2.3% increase in a survey conducted by Bloomberg.

Exports fell to six of Singapore’s ten largest export destinations, with the steepest declines being seen in exports to China, the European Union and Indonesia.

The data also showed that non-oil domestic exports of electronics decreased 2.5% year over year in May after declining 4% in the previous month while non-electronics exports rose 0.8% after increasing 4.7% in April.
