South Korea’s Hanwha Chem to shut PVC plant in Ulsan

According to market sources, South Korea’s Hanwha Chemical is planning to shut its Ulsan PVC plant during the period between August and September for annual maintenance. The maintenance is expected to last for around a month. The Ulsan PVC plant is able to produce 305,000 tons/year.

Market sources reported that the company shut another PVC plant with a production capacity of 250,000 tons/year in Yeosu for maintenance between April and May.

Both plants of the company continue to run at full rates.
