South Korea’s Lotte Chemical shuts PP plant

According to sources close to the company, South Korea’s Lotte Chemical shut its PP plant in Yeosu on July 10 following a fire. However, it is not yet known how long the shutdown at the 300,000 tons/year plant will last.
The company’s steam cracker in the same region was not affected by the fire although there might be delays in their PP supply, the sources reported.
