According to market sources, South Korea’s SK Advanced, a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Advanced Petrochemical and SK Gas, will begin trial runs at its new PDH unit in Ulsan in the first quarter of 2016. The company reportedly completed the construction of the new plant on October 23, about one month earlier than planned. Advanced Petrochemical holds a 35% stake in SK Advanced while the remainder belongs to SK Gas.

The plant is expected to have a production capacity of 600,000 tons/year.
