According to market sources, South Korea’s YNNC is planning to begin commercial operations at its new olefins conversion unit in Yeosu by early September. The plant is expected to start test production in the second half of August.

The olefins conversion unit is expected to produce 140,000 ton/year of propylene. The plant will use YNCC’s own butadiene production as its feedstock.
