Spot PVC hits 5-year low in Europe

In Italy and Northwest Europe, PVC producers revealed fresh April offers with decreases at varying amounts. Reductions roughly corresponding to the 25% or 50% of the April ethylene drop were reflected on PVC offers.

This sent spot PVC prices for all grades (K67-68, K70, K58 and K64-65) to new lows, as per data from ChemOrbis Price Index. Spot PVC prices on FD NWE/Italy basis hit their lowest levels not seen since March 2015 on a weekly average, as can be seen in the below graph.



In Italy, spot PVC prices were assessed €70-90/ton lower at €720-790/ton for K67-68, €740-805/ton for K70, €730-800/ton for K58 and K64-65 FD, 60 days. In Northwest Europe, prices were assessed €60-100/ton lower at €700-760/ton for K67-68, €720-790/ton for K70, €720-770/ton for K58 and K64-65 with the same terms.
