Market sources report that Taiwan’s USI Group is planning to begin commercial runs at its two new EVA/LDPE swing plants in Kaohsiung, Taiwan by August. The company had initially planned to start up the plants in the first quarter of this year.

One of the new swing plants reportedly belongs to USI Group’s affiliate APC and the other belongs to the company’s other affiliate USI Corporation. APC is planning to begin production at their new plant within two months while USI Corporation will commission their new plant by late July or early August.

Each plant has a production capacity of 45,000 tons/year.
